JTAs-1 Hydrolysis Sulfur Absorbent Catalyst
Applications and Characteristics:
During the process of producing raw gas which use coal, tar and etc. as raw material by partial oxidation, COS always takes as the main form of organic sulfur coexisting with hydrogen sulfide. Its content is decided by the raw material sulfur content and also influenced by the partial oxidation craft operation.
If COS is neutral or low-acid, it is hard to use general desulphurization method to remove. The H2S and remaining COS will bring a series of troubles for the after working procedure and product quality control. For the factory (especially methyl alcohol factory) seek a kind of effective but simple method to remove COS cried out for immediate solution. The type JTAs-1 hydrolysis sulfur absorbent catalyst is developed aiming at the goal of desulphurization of the COS.
The main hydrolytic reaction of the catalyst:
COS+H2O=H2S+CO2+8.5 kilocalorie/Gram-molecule
The COS hydrolytic is an exothermic reaction. Low temperature is good for balance, but the reaction rate is slow.
The JTAs-1 hydrolysis sulfur absorbent catalyst can react with COS which contained in coal gas, semi-water gas, carbon carburetion, oil gas, natural gas, ammonia and methyl alcohol synthetic gas in low temperature. It turns the COS into H2S. If we match the catalyst with normal temperature effective de-H2S system, we can realize the goal of removing organic sulfur (mainly COS) from the above gas.
    The catalyst takes the special activated alumina as a carrier added additives using special physics, chemistry method. Its appearance is white ball, diameter is φ3~5mm, Bulk density is 0.7~0.85kg/l, specific surface is 250~350m2/g, compression strength is ≥50N/gr.
    The catalyst characteristic as low temperature, high activeness, simply use economical investment and low operation cost. It can be applied under following conditions: Pressure: from atmosphere to 5.0Mpa, temperature: 40℃-150℃, space velocity: 1,000-3000h-1, bed level altitude/Tower diameter >3; Imports COS<10mg/m3, H2S<10mg/m3; O2<= 0.3%. It can adjust craft according to the different gas ingredient.
    The catalyst does not have to return to original state when is used.
    the conversion rate of the catalyst to COS≥90%. When it match with the normal temperature de-H2S system, the sulfur content in exit ≤0.1mg/m3. Under-100℃ it also have the high conversion rate to CS2.
    The catalyst life time is estimated-2 years.
